Bret Gilmore, PhD

Dr. Bret Gilmore earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University in Fresno, California. A medically retired Sergeant First Class (SFC) of the United States Army, Dr. Gilmore brings a unique combination of clinical experience, forensic specialization, and discliplined service to his practice. His clinical focus is in forensic psychology, with particular emphasis on evaluations for sex offenders, court-ordered competency evaluations, mental health diversion assessments, psycho-diagnositc testing, WIC §6500 assessments (dangerousness to self or others), and comprehensive risk assessments. Dr. Gilmore utilizes a solution-focused and person-centered theoretical orientation, tailoring his approach to support accurate diagnostics, promote client strengths, and facilitate meaningful outcomes within the legal and mental health systems. Dr. Gilmore is committed to providing thorough, ethical, and timely forensic psychological services, including both out of custody and in-custody evaluations, to support the justice system and improve lives.
